We are always looking for more people, businesses and organisations to get involved in the community in whatever capacity they can. Various options to be a part of the centre are listed on this page, though we welcome all enquiries, please contact us to learn more.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers perform a variety of jobs and are a big part of what makes the centre tick – in fact we cannot survive without them. The Centre holds volunteer insurance which covers people who are signed on as volunteers.
Volunteer meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the Month. The next meeting is meeting in December will be a morning tea meeting on TBA till 11 30 in the community Room at the back of the center. This will be the opportunity for share information regarding volunteering in the new year at the center and your future commitments. Fiona will be attending the meeting to inform us of any changes regards community development and open house. Hoping that you can all make it as a way of wishing each other a happy festive season.
Volunteers assist with the following:
- Reception
- Gardening
- Computer support
- Website administration
- Event planning
(eg. CAN Awards/Politics in the Pub) - Marketing and promotions
- Shopping
- Food preparation
- Convening groups
- Submission writing
- General administration
We hold monthly volunteer meetings with lunch included, a great time to catch up on vital information, come up with new ideas and get regular training.
